In Car Video Transfer Options

Pannin Technologies video transfer is extremely easy to use. It downloads automatically. It’s secure, extremely fast and can download 8 hours worth of video in about 30 seconds from 1 block away! It was an easy decision to go with Pannin for the Baker Police Department.”

- Chief Mike Knaps, Baker Police Department

Video transfer involves wireless video upload, CD, SD and USB card upload.

Pannin's video upload solution provides all upload methods available for maximum flexibility and fail-safe consideration.

Pannin’s wireless upload method uses 802.11 g/n protocol for high speed upload with 128 bit encryption. This method is highly secured by Pannin’s proprietary algorithm and extremely safe. Software downloads; HASH verifies and files video according to video type.  Pannin supports end-users with advance on-site surveys to recommended the best solution for your department.

The system administrator can decide how the in-car units access the wireless upload server. It can be set to actively search for the upload server all the time and automatically start uploading videos once the connection to the server is established, or, it can be set to upload videos only when the officer commands it to.

Video Streaming
Pannin’s in-car unit can stream videos from the in-car camera to the back-end dispatch or control center. The infrastructure can be any IP based wireless network. (Bandwidth available will have a direct affect on how many FPS can be streamed) If the available bandwidth is not high enough to support video streaming, the department can choose to transfer live images (snapshots) back to the control center every few seconds.

Multiple Viewing Locations
For departments that have multiple sub stations, it is important to have videos that were uploaded in one sub, available to other subs as well. Pannin has designed several different solutions to achieve high video availability to multiple precincts in a secure environment. These solutions are based on infrastructure available to the department under certain budget constraints. Pannin will work with each client and recommend a solution that best suits the agency’s need.

Testimonials

Little Rock PD
"Prior to transitioning our patrol fleet from VHS to digital in-car video, we field tested a number of different units currently on the market. By far, the Pannin Commander proved to surpass all other systems tested. We were particularly impressed with the officer friendly features, as well as the state of the art technology. We found it to be the best quality, most robust back end and court friendly system out there. Archiving and managing data is accomplished in just a few steps, and promotes much greater efficiency in the Department and allows more officers to be on the streets instead of doing paper work."

Texas City PD.

The Police Department and I have researched, tested, and demoed several digital in-car camera systems over the past year. The monies spent on this new technology were funded through a grant and this required us to thoroughly research the systems out there. The Shield Series by Pannin received overall stellar marks in all aspects of officer safety, reliability and ease of use... The AVL (Automated Vehicle Locator) allows the officer to input an address and the computer will automatically map directions to the desired location. This allows for a much faster response time. I am grateful for this technology and am anxious to put it to good use."
